Community portal, internet bazaar and online auctions for families

Objectives

The primary objective of this project was to create a community that could take advantage of personal (photo albums, articles, chat) as well as business (bazaar, auctions) features of the portal. Utilizing an intuitive user interface, the families should be able to use all of the portal functions immedaitely, without any special skills.

Solution

The portal takes advantage of ExpessionEngine content publishing and user management features, combined with custom extensions and modules that handle various aspects of the site (both on the front-end as well as back-end).

Baboportal.sk - community portal for the entire family

Baboportal.sk is a community portal, that allows families to interact, have fun and make business online. Besides "commercial" features, portal users can talk stuff in forums, publish pictures, receipts and articles, interact with other members of the community and rate other users. For active users, Baboportal offers a unique affiliate program that allows members to make money by referring site to their friends.
